How do I get involved in CEO?
To become a member of CEO DePaul Chapter, stop by the Coleman Entrepreneurship
Center and fill out an application. It is located at 1 E. Jackson, Chicago Illinois 60604 suite 8100 DePaul Center. Or, contact us by Email at info@depaulceo.com
What do I have to do to become a member?
We are a student organization that is focused on entrepreneurship. We learn through real life experiences what it is like, from the very beginning stages of a business to the end, what it takes to start-up, manage, lead, and keep a successful business running. We also enjoy working with other organizations, collaborating with these groups on speaker events and fundraisers while building a strong network with one another.
What is CEO all about?
CEO is open to any and all students who want to be a part of this organization. Of course there has to be some degree of interest in wanting to start your own business or be your own boss but that requirement can be applied to all majors.
Is CEO just for students who want to start their own businesses?
As a member, you are expected to attend all meetings. You must be a part of at least two activities the group plans on doing through out the year. This means that you must be a part of the committees and help organize events and work them. Because there is no fee to being a member, you are not pressed to show up. But, if you want to be an active member and are unable to attend the meetings on a regular basis you must contact a senior member of the group and keep in contact with them. This allows you to still be an active, participating member, without having to worry that you are not a part of things just because you are unable to make the meetings on a regular basis. You MUST be serious about being a member of this group; we are a professional group and must maintain that example for all members.
Can I still be an active member once I graduate?
You can absolutely be a member once you graduate. Alumni are always welcome; it only further benefits the newer members if there are people they can look to for guidance. We ask that our Alum participate in at least one meeting after they are no longer considered students of DePaul University.
